Participants may park during the day in any University of St. Thomas surface lot and Ramp Level 3 (except for any space identified as reserved or metered, or a designated fire lane). Lot H and Ramp Level 3 (just north of Lot H) are the closest parking areas to the conference. Overnight parking is allowed in Lots A, V, X Y and Ramp Level 3. Note: Overnight parking is NOT ALLOWED in LOT H.
Nursing babies are always welcome. Teens may attend for a reduced rate of $15 (pre-registration rate) or $20 at the door. Please make arrangements for your other children. This event began ten years ago as a ministry to homeschooling parents. We ask you to remember that it is not a family conference and that we are unable to accommodate children due to space, safety, and liability issues. Again, we welcome nursing babies and registered teens, but, for their safety, you must make appropriate arrangements for your other children. We realize that this can be challenging and we sincerely thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Yes. All workshop areas are accessible by elevators. There are a few stairs between Coughlin Field House (vendor area) and Schoenecker Arena, but people usually just lift the stroller over the stairs.
You must register for the conference in order to attend the curriculum sale or any part of the event. We depend upon the registration fees to put on a quality conference and attract national vendors.
Yes! Twin Hearts Media will be audiotaping each workshop session. (Vendor presentations will not be audiotaped.) Tapes will be duplicated and available as soon as possible during the conference or may be ordered afterward through Twin Hearts' website.
The very popular Used Book Sale will take place Friday night only (4 - 8:30 p.m.). To reserve a table ($25), indicate that on your registration form. One or two workers may "man" the table without paying the conference registration fee if they attend the Used Book Sale only. However, if any workers plan to attend the workshops or any of the events on Saturday, they must register for the conference and pay the conference registration fee in addition to the $25 table charge.
Continental breakfast is included in the conference price. Lunch may be ordered for $8.00/each. The campus grill will be open, there will be a snack area in the vendor area to purchase sandwiches and beverages, or you may bring your own bag lunch. Mass is offered daily at 7:15 a.m. in the beautiful St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel. Following that Mass on Saturday, it is reserved for weddings. Rather than schedule a Mass later in the Arena, we decided to join the daily Mass in the Chapel.
The Church of St. Mark, located just five blocks from the University of St. Thomas, has a 5 p.m. Saturday evening Mass. To download a map with more Mass options, click here.
