We're so happy to have Dr. Scott Sullivan presenting at our conference this year.  Dr. Sullivan is a homeschooling father of 8 and holds a PhD in philosophy from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. He's also the founder of Classical Theist Productions, a company devoted to teaching the Catholic intellectual tradition and making it accessible through modern technologies.

Dr. Sullivan recently spoke at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church in Bloomington, MN.  We asked John Stute, d
irector of youth faith formation, for his impressions of Dr. Sullivan's presentations.

"I have been involved with youth ministry for most of my life and have been working as a professional youth minister for almost 5 years.  Regarding my education, I have a master's degree in theology from the Augustine Institute and I am currently working towards an MA and PhD in philosophy through Holy Apostles College and Seminary.

One of my chief concerns in working with youth is their ability to explain and defend the faith in a way that is clear, reasonable, and can stand up to scrutiny.  I have scoured the world of Catholic apologetics for a resource which is deep, insightful, and engaging.  Sadly, this has been a largely unsuccessful endeavor-- until I discovered the work of Dr. Scott M. Sullivan.

Dr. Sullivan has a passion for preparing teens to withstand the onslaught of secularist ideologies present in our world today--especially on college campuses.  He has a variety of programs ranging from logic, philosophy of God, and apologetics.  His material is very clear, engaging, and deep.  I recently invited him to be the headline speaker at an apologetics conference at the parish I work for.  Both students and parents had rave reviews about Dr. Sullivan for being able to explain the faith clearly and deeply in a way that is meaningful and engaging.  He has years of experience homeschooling his eight children and can speak effectively to a variety of audiences.

I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Sullivan and I know that he is working on projects which will be able to help renew the Catholic intellectual tradition in our teens which will be a part of the salvation of our culture.

John Stute, M.A."

It's great to have new vendors each year, and the name of this one certainly caught our attention!

Fundanoodle is an education readiness program offering a variety of products created by pediatric occupational therapists and elementary school teachers. These high-quality products are designed to develop and improve the motor skills needed for success both in and out of the classroom. These products are designed to work for Little Learners of every ability, and offer activities for children of varying skill levels.

Fundanoodle sells products that were created to help children improve their gross and fine motor skills and combat the negative impacts of too much screen time and too little active play. I sell a wide variety of fun products from paper-only scissors that are GREAT for teaching children to cut without fear at an early age, to our Muscle Mover cards which promote physical activity, to math activity books, to our highly popular I Can Pound! kit which helps children improve their grip and pattern recognition by creating designs using colored pegs and a weighted hammer. All of our products disguise learning under a layer of pure fun.
